Creating healthy eating habits from a young age is essential, and our delicious, nutritious childcare meals tick all the boxes for children and parents

At Seaforth Childcare, our nutritional daily menu of nourishing hot meals and snacks adhere to The Australian Dietary Guidelines.

All parents want to ensure the right nutrition is on offer to their child, but it can be a battle for some. If your child is a little fussy at home, you may be pleasantly surprised when it comes to childcare meals – often children will eat much more surrounded by their peers!

In fact, we’re often hearing from parents how much their little ones love the food at Seaforth Childcare. Our meals are made just for us by Kids Gourmet Food (KGF), who are experts in child nutrition and deliver fresh, home-cooked childcare meals (snap-chilled prior to delivery to lock in the nutrients).

We have all the benefits of an off-site chef: KGF use high-quality, seasonal ingredients and design the meals in consultation with nutritionists and dieticians. The menus, which are rotated every six weeks, also give the children exposure to a range of ingredients and nutrients every time they sit down to eat. Bon appetit!

Ensuring a child gets the nutrition they need can be tricky. That’s why our healthy and balanced meals include a variety of:

  • Fresh vegetables and legumes
  • Seasonal fruit
  • Wholegrains and seeds
  • Lean fresh meat and fish
  • Dairy options
  • Allergy meal options

What are the Australian Dietary Guidelines?

Good nutrition is essential for all Australians, but especially for babies and children. It’s never too early to help them learn about eating and develop healthy habits. The Australian Dietary Guidelines provide recommended advice about the types and amounts of foods, food groups and dietary patterns that aim to:

  • promote health and wellbeing;
  • reduce the risk of diet-related conditions, such as high cholesterol, high blood pressure and obesity; and
  • reduce the risk of chronic diseases such as type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease and some types of cancers.

Children with food allergies

A child with food allergies or special dietary requirements can be stressful for parents. Therefore, it’s important to notify us so we can make sure your child is safely catered for. KGF offer a range of tailored meals to ensure your child feels included and can enjoy a wholesome, tasty and fun experience at every meal time.

Breakfast and dinner options

Are you a working parent who requires long day care? Seaforth Childcare is committed to supporting working families, and as part of this we offer a breakfast and dinner option at no extra charge for children under the age of 2.
