Community, partnerships and sponsorship
For many years, Seaforth Childcare has been committed to giving back to its local community.
Giving back to the local community is a huge priority for the team at Seaforth Childcare, and we’re always seeking new ways to help and to better support the school and its community.
Community organisations we currently work with include Bushlink, which visits Seaforth School each term and works alongside the children to help maintain the Kitchen Garden. Bushlink is dedicated to creating real and valued employment for people with disability, through a network of working environmental project teams.
In 2021 we’ll also be supporting Seaforth Netball Club and continuing our regular donations throughout the year to Northern Beaches Women’s Shelter. Our February campaign includes the collection of luggage from families for residents of the shelter who may have arrived in haste with few personal possessions. Wheelie suitcases restore personal dignity at a time of acute trauma and uncertainty.
We love forming partnerships with like-minded organisations whose needs and goals have synergy with our own. So we’re very excited to be collaborating this year with Australia’s largest VET provider, TAFE NSW. As a family-owned business operating since 2005, Seaforth Childcare has a long-history of employing local staff and our partnership with TAFE NSW will build on this commitment to developing a future workforce
We’ll be offering traineeships to Northern Beaches students keen to work in the child care industry – and under the program, students will receive on-the-job training from the 35 highly-skilled Early Childhood Teachers at Seaforth Childcare. We’ll also be providing workplace opportunities for TAFE students and graduates.
If you’d like more info on this partnership or wish to chat to us about a partnership opportunity, we’d love to hear from you.
Seaforth Childcare is proud to be long-time sponsors of a child through The Smith Family. We’re also big supporters of Share the Dignity, an initiative providing feminine hygiene products to women in need, as they work to end period poverty here in Australia. Our families also generously donate supplies to this organisation.
During the festive season, the families at Seaforth Childcare also donate gifts for children in need to the Smile Elite’s Christmas Giving Tree Event, and in 2020 we donated to Royal Far West, which supply gifts to children in the country.
We’re also proud sponsors of Global Citizen, an international education and advocacy organisation working to end extreme poverty. We’re willing members who donate and share the organisation’s messages with the staff and children about education, health and poverty.
Thank you for considering our Shelter as part of your Community Project … and for helping us spread awareness.
